A friend's got a 95 hatch and he's gotta rebuild a jdm b16a2.

FOR CTR, anybody know what bore, stroke, rod length, compression height, compression ratio, or cc's that I have to match specs with????

I really wouldn't mind building it to type R standards.... or better

what would it be if I took the bore to 3.209

would that be boring it 30 over? I think stock is 2.953, right?

just so you know the b16a2 is a usdm motor not a jdm motor

the jdm motor is the b16a , no JDM motor has a number at the end

for an example
b18c5 = usdm type r motor
b18c = jdm motor

just clarifying incase your friend is telling you his motor is JDM

raise comp to 11:1 get a itr intake manifold and throttle bosy i beleive you will have it specs then maybe polish the head up alil with itr or ctr cams and you are good to go

Why copy a CTR when you can just go JDM tuning (Spoon, Toda, JUN) and get better results?

also, just a lil bit of useful knowledge......a real civic type r engine code is a b16b, just thought you might wanna know
