I've have read somewhere that if you put a JRSC on a B16 with a CRV crank pully, it would raise the boost to 10 psi. Is that true? And if it is, would this cause any damage to the engine in any way? I'm asking for a friend who is going to be installing a JRSC in about 2 weeks. Thanks in advance guys.

should not cause any damage, and yes it is true. 10 PSI is okay on an SI, but watch out for the outlet temps, which will be high... don't go any higher than 10 PSI without some sort of intercooling option (basically nonexistant)

Well yeah, there's the aquamist setup to intercool it but personally I'd rather have nitrous or a big fat FMIC (my next car will be turbo and will have one). I don't trust the aquamist personally, but others have had no problems with it. I still woudn't go above 10 PSI with the aquamist, or go above 8 PSI without it.
