Hi I'm a car noob, just curious what this vent thing is next to air filter, like what is it called and what is its purpose, I obviously know that it's sucking in air, but like is it for the air filter or does it go to the engine. Also I noticed that other version of this engine it wasn't just open like that it was like covered more like the air filter is, again I'm just curious, please don't Bash me for not knowing I'm trying to learn. Thanks again
