im not as knowledged in crx's as in civics so i have a couple of questions before i think about purchasing one. if i do buy one it will be for dragging and not autocrossing. what engines will fit in the engine bay without major modification? i heard the zc will fit in perfect but does anything vtec need a bolt-in kit? i was thinking of going ls/vtec cuz i can get a good price on an ls but will that fit and what problems can i expect? also what is the best one to buy? are the extra features an si have enought o offset the weight over a hf? i dont want a stripped car but something that is still light. since this post is kind of long a good website that can answer my questions will do fine. thanks

Any B series honda motor wil bolt into a snd gen CRX with the help of a swap kit (HAsport is a great source)
there is really no point in swapping in a H22 or F22

as far as ZC goes, those bolt right in with no kit, cause that's what they cam with in japan. As far as Vtec on a ZC.. I've never heard of it.. if you want the Vtec, you can spend less money and get yourself a first generation JDM B16A1 SIR for a little over $1200 and they have much more power and aftermarket support than the ZC engines have, they also bolt nicly into the CRX with a kit and some wiring. if you want upgradability, you can't beat the B16 for aftermarket support... everyone makes everything for that engine, same with the B18, but it's a bigger engine. it's all a matter of preference... and money
