i have an 89 si rex with a first gen b16 ... the problem is i am having trouble shifting b4 the clutch cable ajusting nut was slipping so i replaced the cable ... the new one works but like shit (its for a civic , crx)... ive tried ajusting the cable and so forth holding it into place or whatever ... its just a pain to push that bitch to the floor and the shifting isnt great ..
so i have heard that i need a 90-93 teggy cable but just need some back up ...

i used my stock SI cable and it worked fine how are you adjusting it?

I don't remember if the first gen b16 has a hydro clutch, but if it does then this really depends on what solution you are using for the Hydro-manual conversion. If you use the Hasport (which 90% of people do) then the stock SI cable will work but it will have to be at the very bottom of it's adjusting range and you will end up with little if any free-play in the clutch. You have to use the Teggy cable to get it back into a acceptable adjusting range.
