Msd makes a launch control module and was wondering how good they work. I have heard that they can be hard on connecting rods???? Do they help your launch much?? Got any pros or cons on these things??

some poeple call it a stutterbox. what it does is holds your rpms at a selected point which you set, while your foot is pushing the gas all the way down. it's not great for your engine but your only doing it for maybe 2-3 seconds so it's alright. pro's are you'll get more consistant launches and better r/t.

Full throttle shidting means you can just hold the gas on the floor when you clutch in to shift up. Hondata(or the Zdyne that I use), detects the clutch switch signal and cuts back the revs to a user-determined point until you let the clutch out. Then the rev's are back on and you're off.

I think that this secondary rev limiter is an ingenious idea...I LOVE IT!

Now, what I was wondering....is if you can just take the MSD unit and hook that up to your clutch so it would work just like the Hondata and Zdyne. I dont know exactly what the Hondata or Zdyne setup look like, but I know that there is already a little switch to turn your cruise control off when you push in the clutch. Could you just use that button instead of a remote steering wheel button on the MSD unit?

That would be cool to take advantage of the full throttle shifting and launch control on on non honda turbo cars. It would also be cheaper if you just want the Hondata of Zdyne like launch control on a non turbo honda car.
$240 vs $800
