not a big deal but for some reason when my 91 Si is idling it will stay like a little below 900 but as soon as i turn on my head lights it drops to around 500 or 600? i would switch them off and on and it would keep going up and down?

thats normal..its because its putting an electrical draw on the motor and the voltage regulator int he alternator is engaging the alternator to produc power..which in turn puts draw on the motor.

That seems like a pretty big rpm drop. I would get the alternator tested just to make sure that it is healthy.

I don't even get that large of an RPM drop when I engage my A/C. And then it rises back to normal a second or two after it drops.

I have had 2 ef's over the past 10 years..they both did it..its normal..trust me

yea..its really not noticable unless you are looking for it..you get used to it...
