[RSX-S]

I noticed that since I installed my DVD burner, my comp. takes much longer to bootup. Here is my bootup process: I have a gateway so when my comp. boots, a gateway image will appear for like half a sec(use to be longer), it then quickly moves to a blank screen with a blinking underscore and stays at this screen for about 30 seconds, after this it finally moves to the Windows XP screen which takes about 10-20 seconds and then XP loads. Anyone know why it takes this long, especially at the blank underscore screen(wtf is this???) Is this fixable?
