We had some nice weather today and decided to go to the track and get some seat time in before World Import Challenge.. On the way we made a little test pass...

then we strapped on some slicks donated to us by Pisal @ Jisatsu Racing in Houston and made a few shake down passes.. The first was a 13.2 @ 117. 2.6 60'.. All I wanted was the MPH. and I got it!! a whole lot of it!!! The passes got quicker and quicker and the best pass of the night was a 12.16 @ 116.93 with a 2.0 60'..

We are very happy with the passes. We could have pushed the car farther and made even quicker passes but we didnt want to get kicked off the track(no roll bar). The car was babied out of the hole to keep from breaking transmission parts or axles. The car weighed in 2350 with driver..

anyway Ill let you guys enjoy the vids..

Hey Stoopid.....

How do you get the videos onto your computer. What programs you use?

Holy shit dude. What kind of turbo is that. That shit spooled up like 3 times faster than mine in your video. Is that how its supposed to be. Is my shit not hooked up right possibly? I got Drag gen 3 with t3/t4
what kind of rims did you have on there last night. those were not si rims. Very nice car, i wish i could have seen under the hood last night.

also, i can't email you those pictures till' early next week, the digital camera is out of commission.
The program I am using is called Ulead I dont know anything about computers so I relly cant help you out much there.. The car spools quickly because of the way I have the car tuned and because the turbo is kind of small.

The wheels we were running on lastnite were some TSW 17s we were borrowing them for the 50 mile trip out to Baytown. The Drag radials are bald.

Keep those vids comin there great
Thanks

what was the speed in the test run? i couldnt see... it was shaky...
sorry if it's been asked around.. but how much boost were you running on that 12 second run?
im pretty sure he was running 18-20psi... its tuned.

stoopid... i got a question myself:
"The car was babied out of the hole to keep from breaking transmission parts or axles"

whats that mean? also... how did you go about warming up the slicks... like clutch dump or what?
st00pid? What kind of boost controllers are you guys using?

19-20psi

We were launching the car conservatively so as not to put excess strain on the drivetrain.. if we broke we had to get a tow home.. 50miles away. The owner of the car is still learning to drive the car, so that means the burnouts are new too. I would suggest a spin in the water and a quick release of the clutch at 4500rpms to heat up the tires, just on the other side of the waterbox.

i have a eg and im thinking about dropping either a b16a or a b18b in it and im added the same mods as u listed but i was wondering which motor would get me in the mid-low 12's faster on a stock motor and can u put a hydro tranny on a cable b16a thanx alot
b18b... it allows for more of an error in tuning. Variables are always changing once you get off the dyno so get teh b18b
