i have a 99 hatch with manual windows which suck and dont really close the entire way. i have a question, if i can get two doors off an ex coupe, will the auto window parts be transfered into my door if i bring it to a honda dealership.

anybody?
I would like to do that to my car too. Does any one know if you could just take the door panel and the power window stuff from the ex and just put it in my hatch b/c that would be easier than taking ex door and putting them on a hatchback?

www.ebay.com

type in power window kit, also ex, and si door panels will work but you gotta have the power window motor and wiring and everything. I got it done in my 96 dx hatch.

well if i just get two doors off a regular ex and bring it to the dealership they can do it for me right? or can i do it myself? cause my friend got in a rear end collision and the car is totalled. i was planning on getting the doors off his ex.
you can gut the ex doors and put the parts into your car, but the hardest part is deciphering the switch pins and running the wiring between the doors. if you get the right color of doors, you can cut the wiring off and swap in the new doors. there is not much to worry about other than the speaker wiring...less parts to install. if you get the service manual for the civic, you can decipher the pins and wiring...i did that when i had a 95 coupe. the dealership might charge a fortune!!! just try a good stereo or body shop.

If you take the doors off another car, you may have a problem opening the doors unless you carry around an extra set of keys, or get a remote entry.
not the doors dude, the panels
I don't think you have to replace the doors or panels. There is a company that makes power window kits. Check out www.autoloc.com. Hope that helps
I just happen to work at a honda dealership......to make it short listen to serch94. Autoloc is goin to make it cheaper and easier for you. We'd have to charge you for the labor(it is a honda is all i have to say) and the parts, and my boss says the ex panels don't take much fabrication, but getting that electronic motor for the window put in is going to be a biatch.
wtf is up with that site, where do i click to get to that kit?
power windows

I'm goin throug h the same thing right now with my 90 Integra. I had manual windows and got a gsr interior for it that have power windows. I TOOK THE WHOLE DOOR, BOTH OF THEM, REMOVED THE TUMBLERS ( WHICH DOSEN'T MATTER CAUSE I'M SHAVING THE HANDLES AND USING AUTOLOC ANYWAYS ) . And now i'm at a stand still with the same question. I followed back the harness through the frame into the car itself and it ran into another harness. Even thought my fuse panel supports power windows, when you plug the two together from the door to the car the windows don't work. Now i can run a constant hot wire form the battery, ground out the motor touch the up wire and the constant sparks and wants to burn unless i hold the up button, it'll go up till it hit the limit switch. then it gets hot. I still cannot figure out what to do, but to go to the dealership and get the wiring diagrams, and try to do it my self. Sorry for the long drawn out story, just wanted to really say i'm in the same boat, and I NEED HELP TOO !!!!!
 Ithikn the idea with the car auido place is a good one i'll be there on friday.
