Ok so I did a search and i now kinda know what the MAP sensor does. My question is this. Just installed my intake and there was nowhere to install the sensor.

Is the sensor really needed?

Is there a way to cap it off so my Check engine light will go off?

manifold absolute pressure sensor? are you installing a new intake manifold/throttle body? or just a regular intake?

Never mind every one. Called the manufactur they sent me the wrong pipe. The sensor is the intake air temperature sensor. They are going to hopefully overnight me a new one.
