My mom wants to know this stuff. Im really trying to persuade her to let me get a GSR and Ive gotten some really good stuff going. the only thing is she didnt let my bro get a GSR because she said it was too fast. but he didnt present her with all this info. Please give me your max speeds of GSR vs Integra. I have already pitched her the 1/4 mile times, 0-60 times all that stuff but she is dumb she doesnt know what im talking about. so just give me A FEW different opinions on max speeds for the two. thanks

I'm not positive on this, this is just estimates and from what I heard. I think the LS, RS, GS, SE have a governor that prevents it from going over 120, and the GSR's I've heard somewhere around 130 mph.

Ive gotten my gs up to 130...........ive only been able to pull it off like twice in good road conditions and on a littl ebit of a slant....... but i cant get it up to 125 on any straight highway road

The GSR tops out near 140 or so give or take a few and the LS tops out at speedo reading 125 for me. IT bounced off the redline in my friends car.

If you really must know what the GS-R can top out at. Read thi other thread about top speed and check out the various top speeds that I posted up for different cars. It also includes what the error in some of them were at that high of a speed.

I posted up a fw pictures and they are pretty big so the thread will take a while to load if you don't have a fat connection (like me ). Anyways, the GS-R is the last picture on the bottom and the stats are on the bottom left corner of the picture too so if you really must know and have a really slow connection. You'll have to wait for it to load up until you can see what it topped out at with a laser gun.

I have hit 130 in my LS on a straight stretch of road. It keep going to but I backed off of it.

I have gone 120 up a slight hill so I know that there isn't a limit of 120 on LS's.

Hahaha... I feel sorry for you LS folks. In my GSR, at 120mph I'll only be reaching for 5th! So at that point I'm not even anywhere close to my top speed yet!

Nothing we say here is going to help you get your mom to buy you a GSR. She is you mother and she is going to buy you the car that she wants you to have...personally I am glad that I was in a full size chevy when I was sixteen, I would probably not be alive right now if I had a GSR...catch my drift.

but hey, Ill tape record the next one. but I dont know how to post it up here. I dunno I had a pretty good argument and it really didnt sound like that. I have learned a lot about VTECs since I started trying to get her to let me have one

Indicated top speed is usually not accurate

Sadly, Car and Driver only got an LS like mine up to a piddling 125mph.

The GS-R is more like the high-130's close to or at 140mph. It helps to make all the power at the high end of the powerband.

I hit an indicated 132mph on a flat, no-wind dry road with an intake, but it was probably more like 125-127....Integra speedos read fast, especially at such high speeds. And if you get different wheels and tires, it can throw it off quite a bit.
