Demand money back for the work, and if they don't comply, trash their name around town. Any shop worth shit will pay up if they were almost responsible for you wrecking. And if they don't, you can easily talk enough people out of going there to make it worth your while.
Mechanic Screwed Me Over
i took my car into a shop to get my new rims and tires balanced and what not. i got it done and left. so later that night i hear a BAD clicking/thuding, i thought it was my CV Joints or something else with my Axles. it wasnt. then i thot i had a flat, i didn't. apperently 3 of my 4 lugs had come off while driving, i didn't see the tire wobbling, about to fall off, untill i was doin about 40 mph. i saw it in my sideview mirror bout to shoot off. the morons didn't tighten up my lugs! :bash :stupid
im goin back to the shop today, im pretty sure they are or would have been liable for what could have happened if i didnt catch it in time.

Do you think we could have the name of the shop?
also, keep in mind it's usually a good idea to use a torque wrench and tighten your lugs as soon as you can after someone does work where they take off your wheels... then tighten em again to be safe after 50-100 miles.
Especially if you live in a small town, they should do something for you though, just make sure you stress the fact that your were on the highway during rush hour when your wheel about fell off and you probably would have been flatend by the semi's that were behind you. If you make a big deal out of it they will probably not want to deal with lawers and what not.
