just a quick ? what is the difference in a moon roof and sun roof my friend thinks they are the same huh he doesnt even have on in his car but i think they are different
I'm allmost positive a moon roof is the kind of electronic or slide one that comes so theres a big hole in your roof it looks like. The sun roof is the one that just pops up and lets a lil crack of air come through. At least thats what I thought.
Sunroof is the generic term used to describe an operable panel in a vehicle roof which can let in light and/or air. Moonroof is a term created by Ford in the 70's, yet is now used generically to describe glass panel inbuilt electric sunroofs.
I think when you look up prices on cars at kbb.com they actually separate them out, you can check if you have a moon roof or a sun roof. I think a moon roof cannot tilt up and a sun roof can...
a sunroof is usually removable, kind of like a t-top on a camaro or a trans-am...a moonroof isn't removable, but it tilts up, like a sunroof, and slides all the way back like in our si's.
