So im getting a wide body it for the del sol
and realized that i have to move the gas tank lid up a bit, maybe a foot

and then i relized that i have no idea on how to do this
well i mean i could figure somethin out
but im sure it wouldn't be the best way

has anyone done this

or know the best way to go about doing this

or even know a link i can go to to figure it out.

Shave it and relocate it inside the trunk. Ive also seen people hinge the tail light and put it behind that.

i was just thinking about maybe moving it just up to behind the seat belt and speakers

It would be safer to have it in the truck. You dont want that smell in the car all the time.

Ive seen a del sol where it was relocated to the trunk lid, tucked nicely in the corner next to the triangle off the roof and next to the rear window. It was a sealed lid, so when you had the rear window roled down it didnt suck in the fuel smeel. looked really good, and they used a rubber or silicone hose to account for the movement of the trunk.

If you did this, it would be wise to have a rag/towel handy for fillups, Ive yet to use a fuel pump that didnt drip

yea, some mr2's move them to the trunk area. the 1t and 2nd gens actually have a small boot in the back.

and yea, agree on the rag. dam gas pumps. i think they are rigged

I dont like the rear fillup types, thats just a rear end collision that will have a special fireworks ending to it
