no joke, IE takes like 15 seconds a page with cable internet to load on my pc... mozilla loads the whole page in a matter of a few seconds...

used mozilla and opera. i still use IE. 'cause i don't see the speed difference that everyone keeps talking about. maybe i'm just an idiot or i keep all the spyware out of IE so it's faster... but i don't see it.

Ya if you have a fast enough PC w/o any kinda spyware of such on your system, you probably wouldnt notice much of a difference. Mozilla seems faster for me but I need to build a new pc also :lol

I always used IE for years until a few months ago when I got firefox. I notice a little difference in speed but nothing that's too crazy. I definatley prefer Firefox over IE because I don't get rediculous popups and it nver crashed or froze on me.

same here! Firefox and IE loads at about the same speeds for me but it's when IE freezes after every 3-5 minutes that makes me :mad .

But downloading a bunch of videos is way faster on IE compared to Firefox for me. I can't download more than 4 videos on Firefox compared to 15 on IE, unless there's a key I need to put in the registry :confused

I use Firefox more because of extensions and tabbed browsing than speed. I haven't noticed any difference in speed.

try this guys..

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up:

1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

try this one too....

i would say firefox loads a bit faster, nothing to write home about tho.

old news...but we dont see a diffrence cuz we have no spyware. Either use adaware or get MS new beta product. There both just as fast
