I posted my gas consumption problem before on Superhonda v3.0... well, let's give you an update. The gas consumption problem has improved a little bit but the gas milage is still not great... the best I've ever gotten was 370km (230 miles)/tank... people have been saying that they could get into 400km/tank easily. Anyone still have that problem?

Any mods to your car yet?

Ever since I installed my Injen SRI, my milage dropped some, but I am pretty heavy on the gas now which explains it.

I probably get around 260 miles on a tank. Next time I fill up I will check my milage vs gas put in to determine my mpg.

I get 300+ miles on a tank under moderate to heavy driving. The light comes on at about 325 miles and during breakin I got 340+ miles on a tank. Shifting at 4k rpm should be plenty of power around town??? Check you tire pressure too but, the Type-S isn't a gas guzzler. I don't remember getting 300 miles on a tank when I had a GS-R.

Hey cloud7, your gas milage is pretty good imo. I have a AV6 and I just tested my milage a week ago and i got about 320 clicks, and since my car is a canadian model i presume its in kms? I thought my car would have better milage than a RSX-S but guess not.

Cloud7, 1: 400km/tank is not reasonable, thats like a echo haha.
2: you and I both live in canada, our streets suck, we are mostly urban.. you cannot compare to the states because they have many freeways, that is where they save up on gas while able to travel long distances.

actually 400km/tank is not unreasonable... I have been getting 370km/tank as my best so far... I think this tank will be even better! My friend's Premium have been getting around 500km/tank and I think 400km/tank for the Type S is within reach.

Do you warm up the car in the morning? If you do and you let it sit out there for a while, it can reduce the gas milage. I'm not saying not to warm it up or anything, just don't let the car sit out there for 15 minutes idling. Just throwing another idea out there.

What's your average MPG? I only get around 230 to a tank also, but I ride it very hard and I tend to fill it up right after the light kicks on so I only fill up about 10 gallons to fill it up. Our tank is around 13.2 gallons I think.

23 mpg is not bad I think for how hard I drive it and since I rarely drive on the freeways.
