Ok...I guess I am too old to know the lingo....here we go..

I am not certain what it means when someone simply puts "BUMP" in a post?
Is it some sort of request for bump in priority to the posting? And if so, why isn't there anything else in the message?

Second, I am seeing the term "WHIPS" when it comes to performance tuning? Here I have no clue, all I can think is some sort of redneck CB whip antenna. And i think that fad has passed,,,,,

Yes BUMP is just putting the thread in a more visible spot. since threads are listed by means of how recent the last response is.

and whip....well I have no clue I've never heard it before unless it was referring to a turbo? heard people talk about the turbo whipping..other than that I un no

Whiip=slang for car.

whip=car
car=whip
