Are all BOV the same are some louder than others or does it depend on how much boost you run? I want a BOV that's louder than my exhaust.

What is the loudest BOV?

Would it be louder just because more pressure is being released?

You'd be surprised..... .

Anywho, my turboXS was pretty cheap ~ $100, and it's damn loud, my freind can hear it when I'm following him in his WRX, and that's with his loud-ass (but in a REEEAAALLLY good way) exhaust.

the only way i can boost in neutral (i have a mad small turbo)
is:
1. if i boost in gear and then put the clutch in a rev, the turbo is already spooled so the bov goes off
2. if i rev the piss out of my engine several times and its just a small sound, you can barley hear it over the over revved engine
3. if i let the clutch out a bit and hold the brake and rev
ive only done this once and i will never do it again, it fries your clutch and will cause hot spots on the flywheel

if you wanna have a good bov sound when your stopped buy an automatic.

btw, that was with the hks ssqv bov

I can't stand the HKS SS or Blitz. Both are ineffective by design and don't sound that great. I recommend the GReddy Type-S.
i have a greddy type s and have the strangest problem.. my BOV makes a weird whissling sound when i let off the throttle. its so annoying im thinking about the blitz of tial BOVs

don't worry too much about the lead poisoning... it's only really serious for kids. It affects brain development

Get it out of your system by whatever means the doctors gave you though. If it stays in there too long it will get absorbed by your bones and then leech out slowly for the rest of your life

No worries though... :D

gahahahahahaha!!! sorry man, that sucks but....GAhHAHAHAHAHahHA!!!

you also need to choose a bov that will fit your boost range. Some are designed for low boost pressures and some are designed for high boost pressures.

example:

type-s = low boost up to about 20psi

type-r = high boost from about 18psi on up

just due to the spring tension on the diaphram is all.
