I have a built GSr head Ferrea internals. When i torque the the cam caps and rails down, when using GSR or Skunk2 cams,i am unable to turn the camshafts by hand.Caps and rails are torqued to 18lbs,problem stays the same if torqued to 10lbs.
Can some one tell why this happening?

are you using anykind of assembly lube? it should turn with some effort by turning on the camgear. also did you torque them in the correct order?

Word. Lube is your friend! I would take them out and start over. Lube the shit out of them this time, everywhere metal runs on metal. So, everywhere there is smooth polished metal.
I would be more concerned if you could turn them by hand... well to a point. It wont be easy just to depress the valves by hand but with a simple mechanical advantage you should, so how hard is it to turn with a ratchet or a wrench?
i can't turn mine by hand...

pro2's on a full race crower valvetrain.. pretty stiff shit if u ask me.
