Im headed to a shop, in a few hours, that has jdm motors and trannys. I'm purchasing a SOHC ZC. Friends have advised that I change the tranny and clutch, while everrything is open.

First, how do I distinguish an SI tranny from a DX, HF, and ZC? Which tranny bolts in without anyother needed parts?

Last, when buying a clutch, how do I find which one will fit? Do I ask for a clutch from a specific model year civic or what??

I swear, after, I'm done with restoring this car Im gonna make my own FAQ on the sohc zc swap and all the other questions and problems that I've faced.

the sohc zc tranny is the same as the si tranny. if the tranny is already bolted on the sohc zc engine...it might be safe to say its a sohc zc tranny.
