Need help on uncommon swap

A friend of mine recently totaled his 94 Accord and I purchased the car from him for 300 bucks. The car runs and can still be driven, the body is just all screwed up. I also came across a 1988 CRX hf with a bombed motor for 50 bucks. I need some links to any sites with information about this swap, any personal info you can provide would be very helpful. Thanks for your time.

I just found that other post and read through it and the general attitude is that the swap isn't worth it. This project we're considering would be strictly for something to do and learn a little bit in the process. The car would never be street driven, or even asked to turn a corner, just something to take to the track and beat the piss out of.
picture this if u will.... since u have a chevy in ur sig ill make it domestic picture an old vega right with its stock motor and then picture it with another v6 with a few extra hp nothing much really and it doesnt fit in right u break a u joint cause of it car dont go anywhere.. well in this case ur gonna break axles if u get it in somehow or another.... now picture the same vega with a small block 383 stroker and its got some kick to it now right well picture the rex with a b16 or a d16a6 if ur strapped for cash and want to learn the accord motor is poop and wont fit sorry to crush ur dream tehre is no reason to do the swap.
You would basically do the swap just like you would do a prelude swap, since there is a mount kit to put the lude engine in a crx. You wouldnt break axles because you would be using axles partly that came from the accord/prelude. You would have to convert your car to use the hydro clutch, that would be the biggest bitch. It is all doable, but you gotta ask yourself: is it worth it? Find a better Donor car for eng/tranny, like a 90-93 integra. If its not a D or B series engine, it isnt a good idea in my opinion
did any f-series or h-series come with a cable tranny?

one of the biggest issues with this swap is the placement of the mounts since they have to welded on.
Besides the fact that the motor is a 2.2L , and damn near impossible, they only have like 140 Hp. An LS motor with VTEC head conversion can easily have 160 hp or more, with plenty of torque!
still buy both cars though..... keep the rex and put a motor in it, and find someone else to by the accord... if you can get it for 300 bones and it runs and drives, then you need to sell that bitch.... you should be able to get a ZC or b-series motor with the profits.
I agree, sell the accord and get a b16 in that rex.
Just my .2 cents. Blaze
