Need help with engine options

I want to put a new engine and a turbo into my 97 civic ex sedan, but I don't really know what I'd need. First off, can anyone help me with what type of engine would work with what type of turbo? And then second, what other parts should I look into to keep my car from exploding and/or falling apart when I turn the key?

Obviously, some of the most popular choices are the B16 & B18. Actually, any motor you decide to use shouldn't give you many problems with a turbo, even the OE Civic motor (the D16 I think).

If you are really thinking of shooting some boost into the engine, lower compression pistions wouldn't be a bad idea but if you have enough fuel with a strong spark, you shouldn't have any problems.
