I was driving down route 3 in NJ, and was coming home from my girls house. I was going pretty fast, 83 in a 55. I live in NY, NY REGISTRATION. The ticket fine was $213 dollars. The officer said that I would also get hit up with Points. Is this true? I thought I wouldn't get points since I have NY registration. The officer said I should call Traffic Violations B. in Clifton and set a date to talk to Plea Bargain Officer, How does this work? How can I get out with no points? I will pay the fine. Money isn't the problem.

Sorry to hear about the ticket.

I'm not sure it's true but I remember my friend said that a speeding ticket in NJ will still give you points. NY & NJ worked something out. I also thought that anything out of state would only be a $$ fine.

Find out if traffic school will get rid of your points, but how many points will you get for going over 28mph over?

28 ova da limit is prolly 4 points...i was caught speeding 25 ova da limit in NY and im from NJ so i dunno if i get points or not since its outta state...peace
