need help

manual for daily driver, auto for drag.....IMHO

manual all the way! Or you'll end up like so many others on this board asking how to convert their auto into manual.

but im just learning to drive a stick and it seems so hard,its so much easier drivin a auto,do sticks go faster?

It's not hard at all once you get the hang of it, that usually just takes experience. Manuals don't necessarily go faster, you just have more control of the rpms, and you get better acceleration when you are trying to launch or something. I say go with a manual because that's just my opinion.

Manual .. for sure. Like klungemonger said, you'll regret getting an auto later on. Its not that hard to learn, just try it for an hour, and you will get it. I did, and i'm only 16. You'll be kicking yourself later with an auto.

Deffinitly go with the stick, more fun to drive after you get used to it. A key point to remember is that the shifting will become second nature after a while and you wont even have to put thought into it. I faced the same dilema 2 years ago, with basically the same car that you are looking at and I chose stick, at first it was akward but now I love it and cannot dream of wanting an automatic. If you do end up getting the 2000ex, stick or auto, be careful with puting sodas in the cupholders, those cup holders do not deserve to be called cup holders and I had a spill on my shift boot within the first week of purchasing the car. I know! I hate those damn cupholders! Do they not know the proper size of cans/cups!? When I bought mine, the guy that had it before me didn't have a chance to get it cleaned and had coffee all in the boot. I'm glad I usually drink from bottles!

I've had several friends that are big into racing and they all go stick, I'm going stick as soon as I'm not broke.
