its a white wire.. usually solid, depending on the vehicle tho.. look for the fat white wire.. its larger than other wires.. just splice into that one, and run your power and ground and waalaa

i thought that white wire was just from the 02 sensor i have a friend looking for it to
that is the wire from the o2 sensor.. it gives the a/f ratio... its big and white like 16 gauge instead of 18 gauge
ahhhhhhhhhhh

ok cool...

i'll try and do that sometime today....

just a solid white wire huh? coo coo
It depends on what year your car is. I can't remember the exact years. But it's either a white with red stripe, which is what mine is. Or a solid white one. As for the gauge goes, it's the same size as all your other ecu wires.

The thicker gauge one is coming off the o2 sensor.
For a mine, I looked on the electrical diagram in Chilton's and it had a number of where the o2 sensor connected to the ECU. That number should correspond to a number on the ECU where a white wire is plugged in. All I did was strip a section of the wire and wrap the wire to the A/F meter on it and tape it up. Took me 5 minutes.

Good luck man!
coo coo

i have a 2000 GSR...hmmm...

i taped the white wire..with the red stripe....nothing happened...well, the only thing it shows is that it's lean..and when i floor it, still, nothing happens. Only when I use my turn signals or something elec! =P

weird...

ok, i'll try to re tap it or something...
that's probably the wrong wire then
if you got the right wire, it will light up one bar lean unil the car starts to warmup, then it ill read properly.. and on my wiring harness (97 Civic) its a solid white wire, and the gauge is bigger than the othe wires surrounding it..

and yes, Rayman, its the o2 wire that yu need to splice into
Haha, that's good to know. Thanks for the info. Even though I didn't ask and mine's been on for months.
Most likely it's the white wire. I've got a '99 OBD2 GSR and it's the solid white wire. I think on OBD1's it's the white wire w/ the red stripe...cuz I too tapped that wire b4 and it did squat.
ahhh

cooo coo, i will try and get that done..

thanks guys!
It is definitely the solid white wire . This is the best location to tap it into. I would not just wrap the wire around and then tape it though, go ahead and solder the two wires, then tape it up. You don't want that wire grounding out and throwing codes to you ECU.
thanks

awesome...thanks for the tip..yeah, i always solder my shit...no doubt about it!
