hey guys, i dont know what company makes this alarm, but i've seen it on my friends car. i dont know how to explain it. its more like a infared system. what it does is, the car doesn't start unless you put a infared remote by the emergency light button. i asked him 'wha da hell', and he saids.. its a new alarm system. the car doesn't start when u stick the key in unless you deactivate the infared port. i dont know... but if anyone has any clue to what im talking about, please reply to me. thank you.

Doesn't sound like it would be very difficult to rig up something like that. It's probably a gimmick of one of the cheaper alarms, or could even be a new option from DEI. I can ask my local favorite stereo shop if he's heard of anything like it. I do know that you can buy small kits that you wire up to something; then you have to push the defrost button, or a hidden button for it to start. Same idea, just a fancier switch
