Has anyone here looked into getting a USDM prelude engine H22/H23 new directly from Honda. I'm curious as to how much they're asking for one direct from the factory.

i would imagine that a new one will cost a ton since its from honda and everything is expensive from them so just go to jdmclub.com and u can get a jdm one for $2300.

Brand new, an h22 is going to be in the $5000-$6000 range.

I think the idea is he wants a new engine, not one with 30,000 mile on it already

Yeah, I'm just thinking if I'm going to keep my accord forever, why not invest a little bit more for the piece of mind a guaranteed longevity of a new engine. Then I know it's history etc. Of course you can find engines for cheaper, but then you can't be guaranteed of what you're getting.
