new se-r v-spec

180hp??? i think...

last week at the track a new v-spec at the track... ran a 15.3... nothing special...

faster than civics that's for sure. they're actually not that bad for what the category they're in. i just can't stand the look of the tail lights on those things.

That doesn't mean anything.. I've seen VTEC ludes run 15.3's and even higher, don't base your opinion on one car and one driver.

I went to the track last night and a guy ran a 15.2 best.. His other runs were like 15.5... So it looks like a low to mid 15 second car. It has a lot of torque.. 180 ft/lb's to be exact. But it has a low redline, something like 6200 so its high end isn't quite as good. I was impressed with its low end accel tho.

its gonna be weak...nissan hasn't produced any really strong sports cars lately....some should be coming out but...who knows.

You have to consider the class they are in.
The SE-R V Spec w/ 175 hp. 15 more hp then the Si and loads more tq.

240 hp Altima with 17's and HID, leather and 5 speed. Same price as the Accord.

255 hp Max with 17's, HID, leather, 6 speed, and lsd. Cheaper then the TL-S. Now that is a four door sports car.

We will have to wait on the new Z and also see if the new Skyline will be a contenda.

the new SE-R Spec V will be on my list when I go look for a new DD this summer.

you beat me to posting that... its uglier than anything ive ever seen before. go to nissans japan site www.nissan.co.jp if you guys want to see that nastiness.... i guess theyre bringing it back as a sedan (what it originally was...) oh well....

I dont really dig the new skyline concept car or the new se-r vspec but i personaly like the new 350z and if they really can make it the fastest z ill definently look into gttng that car.

Yeah, looks are another thing all together. That is why I don't have the Max.

man, did you know that the 350Z 6spd comes with 18" volks stock? theyre like custom TE37's with square dimples in the spokes that match the rest of the car's accents. a guy in my house ordered one, its gonna be off the hook.

the GTR is what you're talking about. Nissan split the platform. There will not be anymore Skyline gtr's. The skyline is coming over here as the infinite G35. A 4-door Lux car. If the GTR comes to North America or not depends on the sales of the 350Z.

what kind or retards are working with their marketing strategies? and the rest of japan for that matter. WE WANT THE DAMN TYPE R's, GT-R's and everything else that we don't have. WTF!!
