how good are these things? i overheard my friend from his shop saying that an all motor civic with a new camshaft could take on and even hang with a civic with nitrous to his cutstomer cuz his customer was interested in a camshaft for his sohc car. is this true? so if i was to buy a camshaft designed for nitrous how much better does it run with my nitrous setup?

A stock SOHC VTEC civic with a cam and a cam gear will not hang with a stcok SOHC VTEC civic with a 50 shot. The cam will only give 10 whp on the most generous dyno. He's just a salesman trying to make a buck. You would want to get the best camshaft for your car when you are not spraying. So whatever is best for an NA SOHVC VTEC is what is best for your car. You should get a little more hp with the cam than an NA car with the same cam would get.

is it worth spending 350 or so. for it or am i better off getting a MSD ignition so i could drop ina the 75 shot jet.i dont really wanna go higher then a 60 without MSD and upgraded fuel shit
I'd get the MSD and fpr first. After that I'd get the cam and a cam gear. The MSd and fpr will help get more power from the cam as well.
Well basically what companies call a nitrous cam with work great all motor.....they just have more exhaust duration to help the the extra air out that is getting forced in with the nitrous. Should notice a nice gain all motor and an even nicer gain on the gas.

Later, Chris
