NOS or no NOS

with my new engine and other mods, i COULD run a 100 shot in my CRX. i dont know if i should run such a big shot though, im thinking about running mabey a 60 or 70 shot. i just thought some feedback from others could help me out. I aslo think if i got the nitrious, a purge system would be something good to have.

a 100 shot on an internally stock zc???? even w/ 60-70 you may be pushin it....remember, the rule w/ zc's is to stay under 200hp....that's pretty much all the rods can take...

so if my car is 140 hp and i run a 60 shot of nitrious thats 200 or less hp. i thought that would be safe enough.

yeah, I'm sure it'll be fine....the zc (even w/ some mods) still probably isnt at 140hp and plus the actual shot of n2o is usually less than they advertise...

it you run any more than a 70 shot be prepared to put in another motor because you'll see a nice size hole in your block with a rod sticking out. you have to also keep in mind that having a good fuel setup is a key to running that much NOS.

Yeah, Phatty is right. NOS is a company that makes Nitrous kits. Call it nitrous or N20, but NOT NOS, unless you are talking about that specific kit.

WELL IVE BEEN RUNNING MY ZC ON A 75 SHOT NITROUS EXPRESS WET SINGLE FOGGER KIT. IT SEEMS TO BE DOING FINE. ITS NOT POPPING OR NOTHING. I AM GOING TO UPGRADE THE FUEL PUMP JUST IN CASE. BUT EVERYONE HAS TO REMEMBER NOT EVERY MOTOR IS THE SAME. SOME CAN HANDLE MORE THEN OTHERS

Stay under 70 with no fuel pump for sure. And if you're using stock internals, stay with a 50 shot and keep your motor to drive another day.

and i was refering to the Nitrous Oxide Systems, and i know that they are different. that damn movie is warping everybodys minds. it just they make a good wet kit that im looking at.

damn the fast and furious movie......it blew up the street races here in san diego and now our own police department has a team called DRAGNET that makes sure there are no illegal street races on our mira mesa 500 (thats what the news calls it)....its a large circle of street racing spots (4 main ones). damn helicopters patrol the area at nite. im banned from going up there for 3 whole years for getting caught. damn the F&F movie!

ZC rods are pretty weak, 200 HP tops and that is with proper tuning. Even 40HP NOS (that is for you phatty) can blow your motor if not Tuned correctly. Detonation KILLS. Not just shear power.

You can handle LOTS more tuned power than untuned (booom)
