If one was to change OBD1 to OBD2 or vice versa, would the only thing that needs changing is the distributor unit and the corret wiring harness?

I would like to know the differences and the ease of doing this. A friend of mine just did a swap into his civic and says that a local shop was able to convet his OBD2 distributor to an OBD1 distributor for a small fee (somewhere around $50).

The car is up and running wthout any issues. Anyone who has done swaps before, especially with different OBD setups, please input.

OBD2 b16 into an OBD0 teg. Swap is already done, only half assed. I want to try to get it right because they are using a OBD0 ECU with possibly an OBD0 distributor to get it to work.

The B16 is a 99 motor as I can confirm it from the VIN plate on the bottom of the block.
