I have a 96 accord w/ auto tranny; I want to do a direct port dry setup, but I need to be able to tune the injectors, therefore I need a tunable ecu. Could I put a 95 ecu in the 96 and it work, or is there some other way to do this?

1st. the auto presents a challange. I don't think anyone has ever chipped an auto ecu

2nd you have to find out if you can use a p28/p75/pr4/p72 obdI ecu. I'm not sure if you can

I'm sure aem makes an ecu for your car

i just did a search and all the obdI ecus are compatible with your wiring harness and engine. You'll need a conversion harness.

but your still left with the auto problem. You'll have to switch to a manual trans to use one of those ecus

ahhhh, I was really hoping to work around the auto tranny, swaps ain't cheap :. (. To be completely honest, I would rather be doing this with a corvette or a camero, much more knowledge and support for the setup I'm going for on this platform. I guess I'll try and save money for a swap (secretly wanted to do this anyway), and just piece everything I need together as I can.
For a tranny swap I need:
tranny
new ecu(one of the reasons for the swap in the first place)
shift linkages
shifter and boot
rear tranny mount (I think, is this right?)
clutch
where can I get this "conversion harness"?

Did I miss anything? What else do I need?

oh yea, now that my brain's working, I realize that I missed a ton of stuff.

I think I'm just gonna try and find a 95 5spd. This'll save me a lot of trouble, and take care of both of my problems at once. What would the best tuning program be for fuel modification?
