what are you running tIM?? drag gen III or a custom set up??

i'm going with the greddy kit in may. basically cause i dont want to blow shit up.....i figure 5.5psi will be good for 13's, and i'll hvae a reliable daily driver. then next year i'll rebuild the engine and boost the crap out of it, after i buy the car back off the lease. what i like about the greddy kit is that it comes with an 18g turbo, which is capable of over 20psi:D very cool:D

i'm probably also gonna run a nitrous express N-tercooler kit, and try to hit 12's with some slicks:D
13s with 5.5psi??? i'm not sure about that

but i do agree about the kit, its awesome i'm saving up for it also

actually, i'm guestimating based upon other mods i'm doing.

i have a skunk2 intake manifold, i'm gonna run a 65-68mm throttle body, a test pipe/high flow cat, and i have greddy evo cat-back.

i think i shoudl hit 13.90's with that setup. i know a bunch of guys on club si are running 14.0-14.2 with the kit and exhaust at 5.5psi.
well...........i dont really like to leak my goods....but for you pete:

T3/T04e
Garrett Internals
SPearco FMIC
HKS SSQV
Tial 35mm wg
RC 310 Injectors
Airtex Fuel Pump
Vortech 8:1 FMU
Boost guage, AF Guage
GReddy turbo timer
Apexi AVCR Boost controller
etc etc

im running 7lbs right now......looking at low low 13's untuned
See less See more
nice custom setup:D

are you still running stock internals??

how do you like your HKS super sequentail BOV?? what kind of sound does it make?? is it a clean....ppppppssssssttttttewwww. or is it a sqeaky, chirpy, wistly kind of sound?? i'm trying to decide on a BOV, but i dont want my car to have that sqeaky, chirpy, wistly, kind of world rally car BOV sound:D
What's up Tim, Damn man, I need to catch you on aol some time, it's been a little while. Hows your shit going? Mine is good, remember my hesitation problem? Not rich, I was very lean, hooked up the damn lines to the fmu backwards (stupid me) Oh well, all good now.

Hi, then we prolly dont care, take your attitude else where bro, grow up
F-MAX

Hey nycivicsi, if i were you, i would go with the same turbo kit that I'm getting....I'm getting the f-max kit this may...it comes with a comression garket which alows you to run 12-13 pounds on a stock engine safely

I don't care what it comes with, running that boost on a stock motor with out a standalone plus top notch tuning will not be safe.
hehe compression gasket, think again my friend. no matter how thick that mother is, nothign can save your precious cylinder walls from 12 psi without engine management.
Turbo? I'm in...:D I got the GReddy kit and loving every minute of it. Everything else is pretty much stock since I'm broke for now. ;)
Greddy kits are very nice (complete kit that looks good) but 1/4 ets won't differ tremendously from stock. With the kit and upgraded clutch 14.5-15 for average drivers, 14-14.5 for good drivers. I base this all on other greddy turboed gsr's and si's and experience at the track.

Sorry but im trying to figure out the basics of all this. What exactly do you mean by "engine management" ??
like a standalone, something that'll manage fuel across the board, spark, etc.
