noone ever said you couldent put a SOHC VTEC head on a ZC just not a DOHC VTEC head
OMG...i saw a SOHC ZC VTEC!...im not kidding
i went with some friends to check out some prices on motors and my friends tranny for his mr2. the name of the place is Orient engine and parts INC. i was walking around scooping out the motors and such. the first motor i saw when i walked in was a jdm d15b vtec. when i saw it i was like ....cool, it was the first time i ever saw that motor in person. i asked about the price and the salesman said 280 for the motor, and they have a shit load of them in stock (d15b is a 1.5l sohc vtec 130hp JDM motor). then i walked into the warehouse and saw a lot of DOHC ZC motors. some of them had the trannies on them and others didnt. the price for the DOHC ZC motor and tranny was 500 bucks and damn thats cheap. i walked around more and was amazed at alot of the motors that i saw.....a JDM ecipse cyclone motor, 300zx twin turbo motor, a lot of b20s and such. then when it was time to leave on our way out i saw another sohc vtec...i have a thing for looking at the engine codes and stuff. as i looked down it said ZC stamp on the block. then i looked up at the valve cover again and it said VTEC....i immediately looked back down and it said ZC and i said OH SHIT! i brought one of my homeboys over and said look....its A SOHC ZC VTEC. i asked the salesman about it and he said the motor was messed up. then i asked him how much the motor itself would cost if he got a good one and he said 425. i never thought i could find such a good engine place so close to home and stuff. im going back there tommorrow with my friend who might buy the dohc zc with the tranny tommorrow.

its an actual motor...one thats not talked about very much

im going to try and takes pics of the motor tommorrow since im going back over there with my friend tomorrow since he wants to check out all the motors.
That motor is pretty cool, but a SOHC ZC with a Z6 head would be awesome. Mmmmmmm..... high compression!!!!:dstar:

in my 90 civic hatch i have a real sohc d16 zc its got 50k on it and i am trying to find a diffrent intake manifold for it id have to change the head but im not sure of witch route to go..this one has a funny looking air box above the intake and it goes straight into it after it goes through the air chamber

yeah its funny but it would be funny to see some of these kids come be dicks from whre i come from i live about 50 miles from anything and there is alot of nothing out here and alot of nobody so hahahahahhaaaa that is the funny thing..in one of my post a kid threatend to come beat my ass cause he kept talking shit lol i asked him to call me and he did and he said if he could find me he come out to my farm and play some country boy games but i havent seen him yet pretty much everybodys all talk and no show..ilook at it this way ethier stfu if you dont got anything helpful to post..and ur pic of the chick with brass knucles is pretty damn hot..
