The y-pipe is the pipe after the headers. I dunno about 15-20, but it's definitely 10-15 or so, all throughout the RPM band. Most of the gains are because it gets rid of the two pre-cats on the OEM y-pipe though. It'll still pass emissions as long as the remaining cat is nice and toasty before you take it in to get tested (have been driving around for awhile). Prices are $200-300 depending on which brand (about 4 companies make them for Maxima's)
