I was at work the other night and one of the guys that I work with told me that some dumbass kid he goes to high school with hooked up a divers tank filled with oxygen to his intake. What a dipshit. I want to see it when this kid fudges up his car. This has to be one of the funniest and dumbest thing I have ever heard of being done to a Civic.

That's roughly equivalent to running 55 lbs of boost by my calculations, probably a little less (sau 40). There is no way you'll get a F/O mixture compressed much further than about 6:1 without it igniting it (even without adiabatic heating).

Fuel/oxygen is a bomb, not a means of propulsion. I just hope nobody gets hurt.

By the way, divers tanks are just compressed air, not (O2). I don't know why, though. Perhaps if you breathed pure O2 at pressure, you might go blind, like neonatal babies used to (before the advent of blood oxygen monitors).
