I own a 2009 Accord V6 that's sitting at 166k miles. Just received codes 61-1, 83-1 and the dreaded P0303. Reset the codes and after driving about 20 miles they have yet to return. Borderline rough idle but overall it runs well. My gut tells me its just a matter of time and the code will fire again. The engine had #1-3 rings and all plugs replaced at 89K. It does not use more than a quart of oil between changes that happen around 5K. I have not yet pulled the plug to check for fouling because it's very cold outside. Looking for a few opinions - has anyone hit the point of a second ring job? I could have a bad coil but I'm really concerned about the rings / VCM causing the fouled plug. I've seen the VCM disablers out there and wondering if anyone has had any experience or thoughts about their use? I understand they would void any warranty but I'm long past that anyway.
