Yet another problem on my car!
I was washing my car after work today and discovered three little paint chips on my hood... I was surprised that the stone chip is so far up the hood... usually they appear much lower and farther up the car... geez, another thing to fix the next time I am at the body shop.

Not much you can do to avoid paint chips with cars and trucks kicking up rocks etc. in front of you. You can get touch-up paint from your Acura dealer and depending on the color at Honda dealers as well.
good that on a dark colour car, it is not so noticeable, but I'll want to get something to touch it up soon...
Chips are not avoidable no matter what you do but you can limit them by 1: get a front deflector/visor 2: make sure you apply good quality wax approx every 4 months 3: wash your car often
4: limit your use of freeways (slow traffic cannot "kick" up rocks high enough to hit any place noticeable)
yea my car has a bunch...99 prelude all highway miles in a state that never rains...CA so rocks are all over the place....after my hood looks like complete ass I might repaint it or buy a CF hood.
Chips are noticeable on the darker color! If u have white or silver, they barely show. Dark blue or red or black, they show bigtime! The metal is silver and leaves a white trim around it.

nope the metal under the paint is black...
The primer is a black/grey color, but on most cars the metal is silver! U possibly did not make it down to the metal.

my thought exactly!:)
which is good because it won't likely rust anytime soon.
