sup fellas i was just wondering what rpm range is the greddy kit at full boost??? and if your at cruising speed say 2500rpms and lower are you boosted??? any info would be much appreciated

It depends on where your gas pedal is seated at 2500rpm. If you are on the gas at all, then you are putting load on the turbo, which is what it is powered by. You can be at 5000rpm, but with your foot steady at the top of the pedal just cruising, thus creating no load, and no boost. The GReddy SOHC kit, at full load, full boost is at about 3000rpm if I remember correctly (it's been years).

mat is correct. at 3000 rpm, you'll start feeling the "pull" and quite possibly by 5000 rpm, you'll be closing in to the zero mark on your boost gauge.

they are both right but it really depends on some minor parts which make the turbo spool up faster such as piping size and if you have a camshaft and other minor parts... the lowest rpm i have seen a greddy kit spool up on a SI with some of those mods was around 3800rpm..

im just worried about my car runnin with 12valves and lean burn till 2500 and having it turn on the 4 other valves and disrupting the boost pressure? or maybe causing detonation? anyone know if turbo is possible with a vtec-e? i havnt heard of anyone boostin the vtec-e sept for matts friend a while back...i want more feedback b4 i try

there is nothing wrong with a greddy kit on a EX.. i have a few buddies that are running those kits on their Ex and have had no problems b/c they are only boosting 0.5 bar... good luck..

Thanks for your interest in GReddy Products, unfortunately we do not offer a bolt on turbo kit for your vehicle. Although we do have a Turbo kit for the 92-95 Civic EX with the 1.6l VTEC engine. Because we do not have a direct bolt on kit for the HX engine. I can not recommend installing this kit on your car, because the engine is a bit weaker internally. However I have seen a few dealers install the kit on cars like yours with some success I believe there are some modifications necessary, but most of the parts will work. But you will definitely have to make up you own fuel management and map sensor cut.
FYI : our kit for the 1.6l includes a cast iron turbo manifold, TD04H-15G turbo with integral wastegate, Air intake, Charge + Intake + Downpipe piping, GReddy FCU (fuel control unit), and all the necessary hardware need for installation.
