I need pics of the Si brake master cylinder and the proportioning valve it connects to. Any of you with a digicam please help me out here, or can you tell me where to find a good pic of these things. I tried searching on google for engine bay pics, but they don't show enough of the mastercylinder or the proportioning valve. Thanks in advance.

thanks trent. If you could fo one more thing. Umm...are there any numbers or markings on the Si proportiong valve that you can make out? if so please tell me. The reason I'm asking is because I have called up honda and they said part number the valve for the 99-00 Si is the same as the one for a 96-00Dx, but i found this odd because a Dx has rear drum brakes, where as an Si has rear disc brakes, and I remember reading that if you do a disc swap, you need a prop valve for four-wheel disc brakes. The only difference from what I can tell is that the Si (US B16 version) has a larger Brake master cylinder, 15/16" versus the 13/16" of the Dx. You can check this by looking at you master cylinder and there will be a number stamped on the side of it. Also can you check the size number on your master cylinder and let me know. Thanks again for your help.

to kidd, the Si (USDM) master cylinder will swap in on the EK civics (96-00) Dx or Lx. The 94-01 teggies had come with ABS standard and are 1" master cylinders, and the lines dont match up however to get teggy master cylinders to fit you have put on a new flare nut from the teggy (cuz the teggy has a different size flarenut than the Dx) and bend the hardlines to fit. I don't have the flaring tools nor the experience do that I am just going to swap the master cylinder (assuming the valves are in fact the same)

The 4040 is for the integra 4-wheel disc brake prop valve. The [EK] civic Si has 4wheel discs but the valve is different than the teggy "4040", usually the 4040 is of the 91-93 Integras with 4wheel discs.

i'll check it a little later, it's night time and i don't really feel like going back out to my car :) i'll tell you this thou, it's not worth the time swaping the master cylinder unless your planing on upgrading to a GSR or Type R one, the Si one isn't big enough to really justify the trouble of swaping out, the breaking power from upgrading the rears isn't a huge diffrence, but it does diffently look nice, if better breaking is the consern, i'd recomend looking into getting integra fronts

I actually have a GSR master cylinder that I got along with the brakes, trailing arms, control arms.. It's just the fitting of the brake lines from the valve to the cylinder that worry me as the only way to make it fit would be to bend the lines.

I'm going to contact a shop to see if they can bend the lines for me. They'd have to be able to flare em also. If they can't, I'll probably end up selling the GSR one I have and getting a SI one. Thanks for all the help you've given trent. :)
