im jus lookin around fo rims but i had some questions about low pro tires...

-what brand is the best?...what is better...pirelli or falken?
-when a tire size is 225/40x18...wha does da 225 and 40 mean?
-if the width of the rim is 8.5, will the tire be coming out of the fender, and if so how much?

first of all, an 8.5 width rim isnt going to fit on an accord w/o some modification. and in the tire size, the 225 is the width of the tire in mm, and the 40 is the aspect ratio.

it all depends on which model of falken or pirelli's you are talkin bout. and what you want out of em, eg. dry traction, wet traction, long life, etc.

Monkeysoup is right. Just look at the tags on the tires and it will have percentage numbers next to all the categories like, lifespan, wet handling, dry handling, etc, etc. lates

I don't have much experience with high performance tires, but I have them same kind, the Pirelli P7000 SS's, and they seem to grip really well in all types of weather.
