I currently have a D16Y7 in a '96 Hatch. I'm getting a new motor, but before I do I'd like to have some fun spraying the shit out of the old one till I pop it or whatever. What kind of power can I potentially get out of it without endangering myself? I'm not worried about longevity. I just wanna get some fun out of a single cam non vtec pos. I mean, I've only got about 100 or so now.What can I hope for?

No, not a hundred dollars, a hundred hp. I've got enough money coming for a decent setup. I don't really care if I pop the old motor cuz the new one's on its way
