Car and Driver got the new 5spd IS300 to run a 15.4 down the quarter mile. Same as what the stock 5spd Lude is supposed to run...GSR-T said:

Between the Lude and Maxima I believe it would be a very close race but the Prelude would pull ahead in the end but not by much at all, just because the Prelude's 3rd gear is very strong therefore it would pull away. Now if the Maxima was a 5spd then it would be a different story, then I think the Maxima would give the Prelude a nice little spanking!

I believe Maxima's and Prelude's are pretty even. If your talking about a moded Maxima against a stock lude I would think the Maxima should win, but both being equal its a toss up. They are both nice, but I prefer more handleing than speed.

Oh yeah me and some guy in a IS300 did some tooling around and I had NO trouble with him at all. Best times I've seen is 15.6-1/4

I find these threads quite amusing (and always have)...you should realize DRIVERS make a big difference in any race. Whenever two cars are somewhat equally matched, the better driver wins.
