Prelude triumph at the track! Mustang Eats Shit!

Just wanted to share my summer triumph with all my fellow luders. Nothing really out of the ordinary, just another Mustang owner shooting his mouth off. I really do avoid confrontation at all costs, it's my nature I guess? But I have this one friend, this one guy who just would not shut his mouth ever since he got his 96 mustang GT.(PS- the mustang replaced a subaru SVX which I also destroyed) Anyways on with the story: after about a month of getting ragged on about much faster his car was than my "lawnmower" and him making fun of me cause his car was faster, I finally draged his boat and his fat ass to the local drag strip and beat him not once, not twice but four times in a row.

What a day. My smile was ear to ear! You guys should a seen how bad he got it from everyone after my other friends heard about his loss, it was so funny.... His best time was a 15.3 Mine was a 15.1 on 17's with a CAI. He had pulley's & exhaust.

My next hopeful victim will be harder. Another freind who has a Trans Am LT1 automatic. He's the kinda guy who thinks an exhaust system is gonna give him 45hp. When he told me this I just about exploded in tears.

I should be able to beat him or keep up next year with my motor build. Although his car feels really fast.

Anyone know what a stock LT1 automatic trans Am runs 1/4 mile in? I'm guessing low 14's?

haha good kill bro. i have no idea what the lt1 yehaww mobiles run but you're probably right, low 14s. I love beating moostagnes (not a typo in any sense). The best are 6 bangers owned by kids who think they have something cool because it says "Mustang" on it. ..everybody always underestimates hondas...
Damn Pustangs always thinks they're bad...Some are, but others are just a waste of gas to race, but sometimes you just have to do it....
Hey good kill your running the vtec aren't you. I'm not all that firmiliar with the Canadian codes. Anyway I think what model you are looking at with an LT1 is the formula. I've seen one run but never been beside it. Here are some of the times off car-stats.com

(0-60)(1/4)
2000 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.1 13.6 Unknown Web 7/22/2000
1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.3 13.8 103 Manual MT 1/1/1998
1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.8 14.3 Unknown
1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula 6.7 15.1 Unknown
1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula 6.1 14.7 97 Manual MT 6/1/1994
1993 Pontiac Firebird Formula 6.3 14.6 Unknown MT 4/1/1993
1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula 6.5 14.8 Unknown

Hope that helps. The only one I'd think about trying in my Si would be the last one and he'd still kick my butt if he knew how to drive.

Peace

Yes I've got an H22 the canadian model codes are S, SR and the SR-V which is the same as the US vtec ludes.

Thanks for the stats on the Pontiac. It is a Trans Am Auto with the I think the times would be about the same as the formula cause they have the same engine, trans am just looks nicer I think? :D
It would be a good race.
just race him and let us know how it turns out.

It's actually faster than the T/A b/c it's lighter wieght with all the same engine and suspension pieces. So really you probably could drop about a tenth on all those times and that will give you a good estimate.

Peace

93-98 Z28's have the LT1. Runs high 13's low 14's. Approx 295 Hp. tranny depending
99-01 Z28's have the LS1. They run High to mid 13's. Approx 320 Hp. Tranny depending
98-01 Trans Am Ram-Air. One in my town brought a time slip of 13.6 stock at a mile high of elevation. They have like 340 hp I think.
SS Camaros arn't quite as fast as the Ram Air Transams because they're ram air is quite a bit smaller.
Heh heh

Good to hear dude.....

my buddy picked up a 97 Stang GT a few months ago and keeps tellin me how he'd slaughter me and all this. He even put a sig on his cell phone that says "ludekilr". I only have the SR but I think I could still put up more of a fight than he thinks I could.

Keep it real up north bro!
