I was wondering if there is any diy on prepping your car for paint. I recently did some research on paint jobs and found its better and cheaper to prep the car yourself for paint. I just bought my del sol and wont be driving it until the summer so I will have some time to do this. Can anyone do a detailed write up on how to do this? I have never even attempted anything like this so I would need to know everything. Or if anyone knows a site that has a good write up on this let me know. I have a aftermarket paintjob that sucks and a fiberglass kit if that matters when prepping. Thanks a lot.

I've helped prep my friends old car for paint before he sold it...and lemme tell you it's no picnic. includes a lot of bondo and a lot of wetsanding x_x
