I need some help. Recently i took my car in to get the alignment chacked because my rear tires inner tread was totally worn down to the metal while the rest of the tire was fine. The guy i took my car to said that my lower control arm was responsible because it was bent from when i had it towed out of a ditch. He said since it was bent it was causing the rear wheels to aim slightly to the left and thus were being dragged by my front wheels. Basically is this a reasonable reason for my excessive inner tire wear on both rear tires?? thanks

the inner part on both tires was worn out. no my car is not lowered. basically the mechanic siad that since my control arm was bent that it was causing my rear wheels to face left instead of straight like my front wheels thus they are dragging but i dont understand how that would wear the inner part out on both tires....The left one is the only one bent since the had to pull my car by that side out of an embankment.

yeah I thought it peculiar since the tire wear was bad on both. What I am planning on doing is going to a recycler and buying the piece and putting it on and hoping that clears up the tire wear. I dont like the place i went to though because even after my alignment the wheel was still shaking hard under braking and my front brakes are good so when i take it back after replacing the part I am going to have them redo the front. I am also going to get another shops opinion on the matter.
