so listen to this..about a week ago i was on the high way and i had to decel real quick, so i hit the breaks and my steering wheel was shaking like crazy. I looked at the tires and they're wearing normal and when my steering wheel is straight, i go straight. i figured that the alignment was fine, so it had to be the rotors. i was driving today and slammed on the breaks and there was no shaking at all. the only thing i did was tighten the lugs. could that have been the problem?

if the lugs weren't loose, then your rotors are probably warped. the steering wheel shaking will only happen on the highway in this case(hard high speed stopping) unless they are ultra bad.

check the warpage using a dial indicator if you have access to one.
