Not exactly sure what lateral springs are but i looked and it seems that they are not lowering springs they work like a sway bar. I saw this on a eibach info site and they said that sway bars act like lateral springs helping with the roll of the car. Progressive springs are lowering springs that have a changing spring rate from top to bottom. Basically at the top the spring has larger gaps between the coils and at the bottom they are closer. Can't think of any other way to say it.
well the progressive springs can lower your car, but i never really heard of lateral springs till you said it. I just did the search and i saw where an eibach sight said something. But i like the progressive spring i have on my car to lower it. They seem to give a good ride that isn't too stiff for everyday driving.
