I've never seen a car with HID and the high beams on.
How are the high beams of a real HID system? I can't imagine, seeing how bright they are with the normal driving lights.

I'm asking here since the S2000 comes with HID.

I am also considering a kit for my Civic and not sure if I want to get projectors and got the dual bulb route and have high beams or just get H4 HID and lose the high beams.

Thanks for any input!

S2000's HID are the same bulbs as daylight running beams. The are H1 and they don't look white in high beam. I have change my to Polarg bulbs and they match the HID better. I think you are getting it confuse with say BMW's Bi-Xenon. Where night lights and high beams are both Xenon (HID).
I just had NO idea about high beams on HID. I did not know there were Bi-HID which means both lights would be HID.

So, on the S2000 the high beam probably just lights up more upward parts down the road. I don't see it making any difference on the ground where the HID beam has already lit up.

Thanks!
